Home Buyer Statistics

  1. 82% of home buyers look at 12 homes
  2. The average home buyer will view a property for 3-6 minutes
  3. Un- staged properties stay on the market for an average of 30.9 days
  4. Staged properties on average stay on the market for 13.9 days and sell for 6.4% above list price.
  5. 3% of all homes sell at the open house.
  6. 74% of home buyers drive by a property first.
  7. 35% of home buyers view a property in the evening
  8. The average age of a first time home buyer is 32 years old, with an income of $54,000 per year.
  9. The average 2nd time home buyer is 45 years old with an income of $79,000 per year.
  10. 98% of real estate agents say staging is important, but only 20% of real estate agents use staging in their marketing.
  11. 77% of home buyers use the internet to search for a home, and 93% still use an agent.
